We visited Waterfall Way in January 2015, and were fortunate that a few days prior to our visit there was quite good rainfall. As a result we were able to see the waterfalls along Waterfall Way in their full glory!
Waterfall Way is the name of the east-west route between Coffs Harbour and Armidale, and along the route there are many places to stop and see waterfalls and also many different National Parks to visit.
A highlight of our trip was seeing Ebor Falls. There is an upper and lower carpark and you can do a short walk between the two car parks to see both the upper and lower waterfall tiers up close.

Hi Anne,
Stunning images! The play of water and green is amazing. Oz has, per pound, as much beauty as anywhere on earth. So much uncharted land, so much pristine nature. We hope to visit one day to enjoy the place because as of now, we’ve only had a quick layover in Sydney twice.
Thanks for sharing!
Ryan
Thanks Ryan. It is easy to only visit the major tourist attractions, but where ever you go there are always some great options when you take a detour from the main tourist track…
But the more important question is, “Can you swim under the waterfalls?”
Thanks Hung. Unfortunately no, you cannot swim under the falls as they fall into quite a narrow gorge. There are other places in the area where you can go swimming with waterfalls – Dangar Falls would be a good option.
Wow… I’ve never been there but it looks amazing. Beautiful photos!
Thanks Hannah. It is am amazing place to visit, and is very easily accessible.
A great stop-off between the coast and Armidale along Waterfall Way, Ebor Falls offers spectacular waterfall views, scenic lookouts and a picnic area.
Leslie, thank you for your comment. I agree that Ebor Falls is a great stop in between Armidale and the coast!
