Kakadu 4WD camping tours are only available during the dry season, with options available from April to September each year. There are a range of different types of camping as detailed below.
- Camping in a tent you set up yourself, with all camping equipment supplied by the tour operator except for sleeping bags. You can bring your own or hire a sleeping bag. You will have access to shared toilet facilities.

- Day 1. Be picked up from your Darwin accommodation at 7am, then drive to Kakadu. Along the way do the Jumping Crocodile Cruise at Adelaide River, then visit UNESCO World Heritage listed Burrunggui to see ancient rock art and views over Kakadu National Park. Then visit the small but awesome Moline Rockhole for a swim, before heading to camp before a barbeque dinner under the stars.
- Day 2. Explore Kakadu National Park, hiking to and swimming in Boulder Creek Falls, Motor Car Falls, Kurrundi Falls and Gunlom Falls. Head to your air conditioned accommodation and enjoy a Barbeque dinner.
- Day 3. Explore Litchfield National Park, where you will visit Wangi Falls, Tolmer Falls, Buley Rockhole and Florence Falls, all great locations to take in the view and have a swim. Arrive back in Darwin in the early evening.

- Day 1. Be picked up from your Darwin accommodation at 7am, then drive to Kakadu. Along the way do a wildlife cruise on Corroborree Billabong, visit East Alligator River bank to see the crocodiles then head to UNESCO World Heritage listed Ubirr Rock to see ancient rock art and the amazing views over the Nardab floodplain. Camp at exclusive safari camp at Garnamarr at the base of the escarpment before a barbeque dinner.
- Day 2. Explore Kakadu National Park, hiking to the top of the Arnhemland Escarpment at Twin Falls to see the views and have a swim, and later hike to Jim Jim Falls to see the views before driving to Litchfield National Park to camp for the night.
- Day 3. Explore Litchfield National Park, where you will visit Wangi Falls, Tolmer Falls, Buley Rockhole and Florence Falls, all great locations to take in the view and have a swim. On your return to Darwin you will stop in to visit the Giant Cathedral Termite and Magnetic Termite Mounds, arriving back in Darwin at around 5.30pm.

This is a great 5 day 4 night 4WD camping small group tour option to explore Kakadu National Park including Koolpin Gorge from Darwin return. This tour includes camping in tents (hire or bring your own sleeping bag) with shared toilets. All meals and activities are included as detailed below:
- Day 1. Be picked up from your Darwin accommodation at 7am, then drive to Kakadu. Along the way stop at White Lily Billabong to enjoy the views. Then head to Gunlom Falls where you will camp at the base of the falls, and enjoy the afternoon hiking and swimming and taking in the views.
- Day 2. Head to Koolpin Gorge and spend your day hiking and exploring and swimming along the way, before returning to your Gunlom Falls campsite. Enjoy a campfire dinner under the stars.
- Day 3. Drive to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge), hike, swim and explore the landscape including views of Maguk Falls where you can have a swim under the waterfall. Then head to Jim Jim Falls.
- Day 4. Explore Jim Jim Falls, including a boat ride, hiking and swimming in natural plunge pools. Choose whether to do the optional sunset cruise over Yellow Water Billabong before setting up camp for the night and enjoying a final barbeque dinner under the stars.
- Day 5. Visit UNESCO World Heritage listed Burrunggui to see ancient rock art and learn local Aboriginal culture. Start the drive back to Darwin, stopping in at the Bowali Visitor Center and the Mamakala Wetlands along the way, before arriving in Darwin in the early evening.
